Nacho Average Dog Walker Policy

RATES:

Dog walking

$25 per 30 min walk

Additional dog(s): $5 per dog if walked together

Drop in: 

$30 for 30 minutes

In-home play-time:

$30 for 30 minutes

$50 for 1-hour

Regular customers, i.e. 5 walks per week:

Mon-Fri (Reg. $125/week) get one free walk ($100/week).

Weekend: $5 surcharge per visit

Holidays: $10 surcharge per visit

Please note I only take on a handful of select clients based on whether or not we are a fit, so spaces are limited. 

*LATE REQUEST FEE: there is an additional $8 charge for all requests placed after 5pm the day prior to the date the service is requested. 

Payment is expected on the first visit for a walk or drop-in.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULING

For holiday weekends payment is expected at the latest 3 days prior 

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations will need to be made 24 hours in advance. 

Any weekday cancellations made after 5pm (including evening walks) the day prior or weekend cancellations made after 5pm on Friday, will be charged in full except in the event of an emergency.

Holiday cancellations must be made at least 4 days in advance or you will be charged in full for the visit as well as the holiday surcharge.

OFFICE HOURS:

Our regular hours for services are 11am-6:30pm Mon-Sat. 

Weekend and holiday scheduling requests should be placed with as much notice as possible in order to ensure service can be provided. For holidays, one week advance minimum, weekends, 3 days notice is preferred. 

OTHER MISCELLANEOUS:

Retractable leashes will not be accepted or used for dog walking. Please provide a sturdy fabric, nylon or leather  leash along with a supply of waste bags.

This is a free visit done before any services start. It is for everyone to get acquainted, for you to show us your pet’s routine, etc. and for us to answer any questions you have and to discuss the details of our services.

The meet and greet typically lasts around 30 minutes.

Meet and greet visits are done within one (1) week of the start of service. This is so the information is fresh in the sitter’s mind, and the pets have an easier time remembering their sitter.

We require a set of keys at the time of the meet and greet. 

If we must return for another visit for additional instructions, there will be a charge based on time.  

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY:

In the event the weather becomes inclement whether it be extreme heat, cold, snow, etc., The Walking Dog reserves the right to shorten outdoor play and walk time to ensure the safety of your pet. We will give your pet enough time to eliminate outdoors but then make sure they get time to have some playtime indoors.

VIDEO AND PHOTO CONSENT POLICY:

While your pet is in our care, we may take pictures and or video to be used for advertising, publicity and promotion via our website and social media sites. If you wish to NOT have photos and or video taken of your pet while in our care, you must inform The Walking Dog in advance.
